New Category in Photopost
For tutorials etc.
There's been a few times people will post a large number of pictures for a project they are working on and all of the images are the same thing with minor changes.
I think its great that they're showing how they did things etc.. but it kinda floods the main page.
Would it be possible to have a tutorial category where only one image shows on front page .. maybe with a gold ring around it or something, which when clicked will take you to the full tutorial of the image?
I'm all for people being proud of their mods and showing the rest of the community how they did things.. but it pushes off other folks proud moments etc. faster than they would otherwise.

Good idea!

And I totally see your point about being pushed off the page.

or another idea that is more generic
Have an option to make a list of uploads as a 'Collection' so you could upload all 100 of your pics to Gary, Indiana and only one shows up in the front page.. but as noted above when you click it it takes you to a new page showing that collection.
Call it an album or something

Isn't there an "album" option? I never understood how that worked and never attempted to do anything with it.

Albums work like a subdirectory, TRB. Check my gallery. I've setup a couple of albums.

Again, I have no idea how albums work. I don't know where to click to see yours and I don't know how to make my own.

When you click on "My albums," you'll see a "Create New Album" link.
Should also see it while you're viewing your gallery....
And I think albums would be just fine for this issue...if people actually used them.

Err, yeah. I kind of figured out the album creation thing. I just wish I could somehow transfer the pics I have now along with the comments and such over. But, alas, I don't believe I can. How did you get to your album?

And yes, you can move your pics into albums. You'll have to go to each picture, click "edit" near the "admin options:" (which you'll find under the picture), and where it says "change category" is where you'll select the album. For instance, my albums appear at the bottom of the drop down box and one of them would be called "rrcn: E3 2005."I just wish I could somehow transfer the pics I have now along with the comments and such over.

Oh, wonderful! You're such a life saver, RRCN. Which reminds me, make sure you participate in my Breath Mints or Gum poll!
