Could you tell me if TIMO is hosted on a dedicated server?

I have a forum too, not as big, not even close, but the links seems to be running slower than TIMO.
I thinking that the hosting has something to do with it...

Our corporate network is spread across multiple dedicated servers.

Who is your forum host?

I run my forum from my FTP host which usually gets at least 20GB traffic per month...

I would say that the speed of anything you host, like website, etc, depends on your host, unless you are as big as TIMO forums and constantly have over 100 guests, in which case it might run slow if it was hosted on only one server.

Well im currently with IXWebhosting, they won some awards, but i dont really find their service spectacular in anyway. The only service which i might find useful and beneficial right now will be their LiveChat.

As for their service of hosting os concerned, just today i experience my first downtime in 2 months, and becasue vB is all about the MySQL database, whenever they carry out maintience checks, the only forum goes down. On top of all that, the links are fairly slow.

Rob, When you say your network is spread across multiple dedicated servers, does this mean that TechIMO has more than one dedicated server? Or that each of your sites have their own dedicated server?

IIRC, last I knew TIMO was co-hosted with PP on a HTTP server, database server, and image server. However, that info could be out of date - likely is way out of date - as I do not deal with the hosting aspect of our operations.

BTW, RR requires multiple servers for its operations.
