Vote For: PC Builds/Upgrade Forum
Im not sure if this has been posted before, spare me if it has.
But loads of members are building or upgrading their machines and want advice.
Maybe if TIMO opened up a brand spanking new forum ONLY for builds and upgrades.
Members who specialize in upgrading and building can stick around that forum insted of browsing endlessly in the 'General Tech' forum....Last edited by J1mmy; April 22nd, 2006 at 03:11 PM.

thats a great idea. seems they're always swimming around in tech, graphics, and game forums. "is this a good build?" "is this a good gamer box?" "will this card complete this system?" excellent!
Good job, friend-of-friends!

well maybe not an entire new forum, but a new group (topic area/category)
that would make it better and keep more people here at TechIMOLast edited by ShuckyD; April 23rd, 2006 at 08:25 PM.

I don't particularly care, but a good sticky post might be a good idea too. Not mutually exclusive, of course.
Edit: Elaboration: a sticky post with common PC configurations at different price points.Last edited by mr.jiggyfly; April 23rd, 2006 at 08:30 PM.
Mr. Jiggyfly, I have good news...

^ Takes too long to boot up.

(a notebook is perfect for me...if I can't sleep because I am trying to figure how something could work, or what I could do to make it better, I just write the idea down, and think about it some other time...)"The problem with quotations on the internet is that the sources are hard to verify" - Abraham Lincoln

Wel have to see what the staff decides......executive decision
If they open a new one underneath the General Tech the vistors will see that TIMO has a forum dedicated for PC building/upgrading, not just a sub-forum where people can hardly see. THe whole point was to move it out and let it have its own space.
If you think about it, PC Builing and upgarding doesnt fall under general tech, its only there becasue there isnt any other place for it.
Its a whole new category in itself...

When you say new forum do you mean a new site with different url?
I think it would be a great new category something like "Building & upgrades" alot of the threads are related to these & that would be a good place for it.
got my vote on a new category, there may be one hey can delete too
