Member rankings?
On this site, would it be possible to display rankings of the members, in regards to total posts (including and excluding IMO Community posts), and posts per day? Maybe have a link to it at the bottom.
I think it would be cool to see how close I am to closing to the front.
Wouldn't need to happen anytime soon, although I think that would be cool.

August 7th, 2006, 11:53 PM #3You can see posts per day in their profile.rankings of the members, in regards to total posts (including and excluding IMO Community posts), and posts per day?
You can find who has the most posts here:

ya we had a top 10 posters thing when timo first came out... it was bad because it rewarded people for spamming worthless responses just to get postcount up.

August 7th, 2006, 11:58 PM #6Oh you're nowhere near the front dude. Sorry. [shrug]

August 8th, 2006, 08:16 AM #9Exactly, that is still somewhat of a problem.

The Member List is accessible from the Quick Links dropdown menu. You can sort data according to categories. For example, here are the top posters:

BTW, if anyone wants to determine community forum posts, you can use the search feature. Exact username, community forum, show results as posts.
http://www.techimo.com/forum/search.php
For example, the search index indicates I have 10,535 community forum posts.

I'm on the 3rd page.

I'm almost on the second, though.
Thanks Rob, for the link, and jkrohn posted the same thing. Thanks.

That RichRob sounds like quite the shifty fella. We'll have to put RobRich on the lookout for him

The biggest problem I see with that, is that too often people with nothing better to do, post rubbish, 5 word replies, dont know how to use the edit button, or double post WAY too often...
Post count means absolutely nothing to me, and shouldnt to anyone else who "knows the score"
There are only a few people here who ONLY chime in when they KNOW the answer, and give clear concise info and stick to the topic...
Then there are those who always have to pop in with a flippant remark, or a witty line for an obvious spammer,...
who then gets bumped up in our "recent discussions" box, bumping out real threads that deserve the attention...
If your here long enough it becomes obvious who is a respected member, and who is just a tourist...

LOL... Dont flatter yourself... that is one of my biggest pet peeves... I have PMed SEVERAL people who do this
Its such a waste when people post under obvious spam threads... Ive seen over 20 replies bump some stupid advertisement before it was locked out...
