Large font/changed format
Not sure I like the new format, I think it takes away from the meat of Techimo. I want to see what someone typed not their name in huge letters and a large space for avatars.

I don't suppose you have noticed the large font your name is now in Outpatient?
-

It appears to be in the same size font that your name is in.

What screen res are you using?

Font for user names in posts doesn't seem any different to me, really.
Mods have bold usernames, but normal users seem to be the same size?

What the.... I just opned this thread in IE6 and the background is ALL white - no colour in any of the boxes?

Looks normal (gray background in boxes, etc) In FireFox 1.5.0.6
Anyone else see this?
Cheers

Maybe something did goof up on my side. My zoom on firefox doesn't appear to be wrong, and I am set to my usual 1600x1200. But the usernames are much bigger than yesterday. I think that is the reason the left hand side box is bigger too, the name is stretching it.

Maybe it's your "small" screen size, then.

It doesn't look much diff to me.

So what are you talking about Mick? I see gray in the user id boxes in your screenshot.

This is what my IE version looks like (6.0.2900.2180.xpsp.050622-1524 is my version).

Oh yeah I see. Well, it's official, your IE is screwed up. You might want to write that down so you can tell the technician the exact problem, "IE is screwed up".
No charge for my diagnosis.

Well, looking on a different PC on my LAN with IE (same version as OuT) and it looks fine. Must just be this Dell laptop. Not that I care, I don't use IE for anything except winders update, really.

I am my own technician, OuT.
But thanks for the free diagnosis.

Here are google cached and non cached versions of the same post. This is the difference I am talking about.

You have a picky eye there. Not that much diff, apart from the visible avatar, really. No wonder I didn't notice it with a higher res screen.

Cheers

Ok sure the name font is slightly larger now. Personally I don't see it as much of an issue but you can always make a suggestion to Rob that the font size be reduced.

That is the direction I was heading, hence posting in the suggestion forum.

Well since we're nit-picking I may as well say, that doesn't look like a suggestion to me. Looks more like a complaint. I guess one could read the implied suggestion in there, but I wouldn't expect Rob to have time for that. Why not a direct suggestion like "I suggest we reduce the font size for the member names in each post"?
