Supporting Vendors?
Have you guys ever looked into supporting vendors for this site? The Modular Ford site I visit has vendors who pay the site to be able to advertise their stuff and offer group buys, which is an all-around good thing.
I'm just thinking that with all the changes going on, this site could look into advertising packages for different companies - Newegg, Tiger Direct, Dell, Best Buy, etc. Just something to think about, I guess...it may attract new members looking for deals and it'll also bring in some revenue.

If I'm understanding you correctly, which it may not be since I'm not quite following, but last time I checked something liek that is a conflict of interest between here and ResellerRatings..
Someone with more authority could give you a better answer.

I don't know. I just think it would be neat to have commercial sellers offering deals and information about new products and stuff like that. They could have their own section for posting up deals, rebates, info., etc. If and when the two sites (TIMO and RR) are combined, I don't think a "conflict of interest" would be a big deal. But what do I know?

I have to agree with poopeyhed2 That would be a huge conflict of interest. It would be one thing if it were specific manufs. ie. ASUS, Corsair Thermaltake ect. but to make it vendor specfic no.

Well, that could work too, RicheemxX. They could offer exclusive, prompt, and personal tech support for their products as well as promote them.

Yeah sounds like what you are looking for is the same as what I have in mind.
Breaking news type stuff of upcoming products, the latest tech ect. That comes from the manuf. though not the vendors. I think thats kind of the point of the merger more support for that type of stuff or at least I hope.
