new forum? Music?
i know there is a Multimedia and Audio forum, but it doesnt really cover music, i was thinking of a music forum. maybe its outta the "?" but techno and electronica and other generes either are entirelly computer generated or in part. and just about anything that hits the shelves is enhanced with a computer.

I play rock, blues ,ans metal, although all the istruments are live, I use a PC with multitrack software to record. Sometimes it would help to have someone to ask about things, other than Jeeves lol....

Well ask in Multimedia and Audio, heheh. Personally I'd like to keep the number of forums as low as possible, since it takes forever to click through them all for me...

Perhaps we could add the word 'Music' to the Multimedia and Audio Forum ?

I thought Music and Audio were *fairly* synonymous? music is audio after all?
Multimedia would cover it as well, maybe instead of the word 'music' something more computer generated music type of word? I don't know the proper word so I'll let y'all work out that detail

au•di•o
adj.
1.Of or relating to humanly audible sound.
2.a.Of or relating to the broadcasting or reception of sound.
b.Of or relating to high-fidelity sound reproduction.
mul•ti•me•di•a
adj.
1.Of or relating to the combined use of several media: a multimedia installation at the art gallery.
2.Computer Science. Of or relating to an application that can combine text, graphics, full-motion video, and sound into an intergrated package.
Sound cards, music composition, speakers, DVD's, TV cards, etc.
Why would you say that doesn't cover music?

Just keep it in the Multimedia forum.....change the name like CM said.
Having too many forums is useless and spreads out the thin number of posts/threads too much (like Gaming
)...maybe in the future when this site is a lot bigger

Yep I would consider the technical part under multimedia and audio if PC related and otherwise in General Technical forum. If questions about music genres or styles I would refer to the community forum.
No need for a music forum IMO. But all suggestions are discussable offcourse.

I'm not an audiophile, infact the only time I really listen to music is in my truck going to and from work. For this reason, I'll need some help understanding exactly what would go into such a forum that isn't already covered under another forum description?

Just another forum where 5 people might post every other week or so...I still say change the title.
