I appreciate being able to see threads from resellerratings on TIMO. However, once I tranfer to RR there's no real way to get back. OK, yeah, there's the back button At the top of the TIMO pages there are links to both RR's and Deal's main pages. How about adding something similar on them to redirect back to TIMO? I know, small niggle complaint.

How do you usually navigate to TIMO? Bookmark? Links/bookmarks tool bar? I have a link in my FF bookmarks tool bar that goes to http://www.dslreports.com/forum/sat (the main TIMO forums page). So when I go to RR and wanna go back to TMO, I just click the link and right back I go all refreshed and everything, just like I was at any other site going to TIMO. Just a suggestion. Beats having to click BACK and going back the last TIMO page you were at that now needs to be refreshed. |

In IE7, with tabbed browsing, just hold control and click the link to Reseller; it will open up on a new tab.
If you're not used to tabbed browsing, it takes a while. But once you get used to having 10 of your favorite windows open and as easily accessiable as a click on a tab, you'll never go back! |

that works for you and me since we're leet d00dz using FF or IE7. I'm thinking about the average internet user who don't realize these things. What you suggested was a superb work-around, but its just that. I'm looking for a solution.
What I'm suggesting will help make the sites feel more united instead of three random sites where one happens to link to two others. Having a unified standard among the three will greatly help with brand identity and help people realize 'Oh! I'm browsing a All Enthusiast site".

A solution? Huh? I'm a programmer...my whole career is based on work arounds! ROFL
Ever try the backspace key?
Can you program a mouse key or button to go there? |

| Again, I can but a general internet user may not. I'm looking at this from a consultant/ PR perspective. A unified All Enthusiast front will help direct users from one site to another, increasing page views and possibly ad revenue. For instance, what if someone is browsing Dealighted and happens across a deal for a product, but is unsure if its a good piece of technology. Chances are they will just google for an answer, find another forum, and ad revenue goes elsewhere.. BUT! if techimo was linked from deal then people may sign up, ask the question, decide they like us, and we have a new member and a potential revenue source. |
