When did the signature policy change...

To allow for 7+ line signatures? Clutters the hell out of the forums.

AFAIK, we never really had a set line limit, but three lines sound reasonable IMO.

I have set a three line signature limit, plus limited the maximum signature font size to two.

BTW, it could take a few minutes before the changes appear, so don't flood my PM box just yet.

It appears existing signatures can not be automatically parsed to enforce the limit using a simple database counter update. If there are any existing signatures violating the three line and/or font size two limits, drop me or an online moderator a quick note via PM so we can edit them. Thanks!

Because sometimes it makes a difference.

Thank you Robert. It has also crossed my mind about the signatures getting a little out of hand but I never bothered to say anything... maybe due to comments like the above quote. Thank you Gomer as well.

Yeap, it is too long. Since you are now aware of the update, I will let you fix it yourself.

    There's one right there, Sweeper2.

Are you sure about this Robert? There could be a LOT of notes being dropped your way.

I just dumped and rebuilt the signature cache. Let's see what that will do.... off to check.

Oh well, that didn't work either. So yeah, if anyone spots signatures in violation of the limits, drop me or a moderator a line via PM. Editing a signature only takes a few seconds.

EDIT - Nevermind, I'll substitute my own in place of the offenders. Send me all you want.

It does seem a few people likely went overboard with the sigs. I just cut a multiple line signature down to a single line without removing the pertinent info.
