    About the spam messages.

I have just reported another spam post, then I went back and posted that it had been reported.

Is there some way that when a post gets reported as spam, problematic, etc, that an indicator of some sort is listed so others may know that it has been reported? Or are we stuck with reporting the post then posting underneath that it has been reported?

    Have a nice day.

    'K, thanks Rob.

Actually I like your notice nomaxim. its better than mine: Reported

The only reason I suggested it was because it takes 5 steps to report spam, and there may have been another way.

Well I am very angry by see crap spammer on this again but try ignorance that but it too much. I am say per months almost 15 to 28 of spammer on this.

I stop report spammer after 15 to 25 times because this spammer who post too fast then try click report post but it was lock for about 1 or 2 mins then it allow.

We need increase moderate for new members who try sneak post spammer!
    sorry for my bad grammar!

I totally agree with that. There are many times I've gone to report spam, which I normally do via PM to a mod, and none of them have been on. I understand you guys can't be online all the time, but just 1-2 more mods would make a world of difference!

    I like this one myself:
Unofficial TechIMO record holder for the number of times being added and removed from beemer's ignore list.

Just because you do not see someone logged into TechIMO, that does not mean he or she is not actually logged into the site.

The best overall bet is to simply use the report feature. It drops a post in a section of the staff forum, which is usually one of the most efficienct ways for us to track and delete spam.

But report feature is useless due limit time like you saw 5 spam threads in short time and try report all that but it lock after 1 thread report then you must wait for 1 or 2 min.

Plus big problem that moderate are busy like work or have dinner or at bar or thing. Spammer start at after 5 p.m. to 8 or 9 p.m. until it caught by moderate.

Milwaukee - when you report a thread, a moderator will show up and see that the new member has a few posts in their post count. The moderator will probably search on the users name and see all the threads and zap em all.

We have a script to automate part of the spam removal process. Report a thread. We spot the spammer, then click a link next to a spam post. The link runs a script, which we can use to quickly ban the spammer and remove his posts.

You mean when we see spammer thread then click report thread mean it will banned member and delete thread auto or need moderate to do that job?

You report the spam. A staff member runs the script.

I never really thought about that...

I'll just start using the report button...
