I use OpenDNS and I found that the site isn't loading as shown in the picture. Yet I use a proxy and it does work. What gives? |

Well it partially works, but I think an image server is down. |

We enacted some DNS changes earlier this week. However, third-party DNS issues are beyond the control of TechIMO.
I have OpenDNS in my DNS chain when connected via DSL at home, but it is alongside my ISP DNS servers as well. Then again, I also run a local installation of the BIND DNS server instead of using Windows DNS caching. Update: While not specifically related to DNS resolution, there are few files apparently missing on the image server. I have filed an error report.

You can actually add several DNS servers if desired. Just verify the ping times to those servers are relatively low, and I suggest using only trusted and verifiable servers.
For example, I typically use one local DNS server - a customized version of BIND - plus five upstream DNS servers: three ISP and two OpenDNS. |

Those will be the ones I'll enter into the network adapters. I found OpenDNS server's to be a little faster than my ISP's ping time. I will be adding my ISP's to the list so that site's can resolve if the DNS ever changes again. I guess it makes sense that OpenDNS didn't catch the change right away or something.
Oh, I wasn't sure where to post this because I don't really see an Admin/help section.

I take that back. I found my ISP's first DNS to be 11ms compared to OpenDNS's to be 56 ms.
Just verified that through the router's ping tool as well.
