Where did I post last?

Well, this has always bugged me with PHP forums. I always do a search on my name to dig up where I had made a post. But what page? This holds especially true for the "Is it just me" thread. Everyday that thing grows four pages long! So I had an idea that would allow page numbers to show up next to the thread listing in the search results; representing where you last posted. Or, perhaps the page number could be in bold or highlighted. Example in the picture.

Instead of using the search, just click on your name in the list above the forums. Click the 'Find all posts' link and you'll see them starting with your latest post back to your firstest post.

Click on the number of replies, then click on the number of posts next you your name in the box that pops up, and then it will bring up the search page with all posts that you have made in that thread starting with your last post.

Send a message via AIM to butch81385
That would be a nice feature for the user CP though. That way when you look at the activity from they day before (or however long it has been) you can quickly see what threads have new replies, and what page you should start looking at.

The New Post link shows ALL threads with new replies. It does not filter out only the ones that have new replies that YOU posted in.

I knew about that, however it still isn't a good filter for the individual pages one has posted to.

Thought it would be a good idea though. Another integration into the forums. Coding it is beyond me, I don't know PHP. I'm sure it's centers around search queries. On that bookmarks idea, well that's a PITA. RSS feed for each thread could work because I''ll use Thunderbird or my sage extension in Firefox to view them. I would think that would be resource intensive for a server though.

You can also Subscribe to a thread. While it may not be an RSS feed, you can get Weekly, Daily, or Instant email updates detailing when anyone posts in a certain thread.

The picture below shows how to bring up your individual posts in a thread that you have replied to.
