Automatically being subscribed to threads
Hi guys,
since a few days I noticed that when I reply to a thread, I'm obviously being automatically subscribed to it.
This is since about a week now for as far as I've noticed.
Can this be turned off?? Is this something for everyone, or is it something in my own account??

It has been the default option for a long time, meaning you probably disabled it sometime in the past. Anyway, it appears the setting was globally changed a few days ago. Could have been happened during a code edit or update to the forum software. Anyway, changing the setting is easy enough for users, so....

It is probably when you accrued additional thread subscriptions in the meantime. Do you want me to try removing all existing thread subscriptions from your account?

Oohh I didn't notice that, I thought that option was global or whatever the proper term is.
I just cleared them myself, again, so we'll see....

I was previously subscribing, but only to my list (not getting e-mails)... The global setting was obviously changed to e-mail subscription default for the new threads - but not to new posts. It took me about three hours to notice, and about 3 minutes to resolve completely...
Nothing to see here....I've seen the light... It was green, flashy and attached to a Network Interface Card...Whenever someone says "You can't miss it", I invariably do...

Climate scientists I think have something in common with visual perception psychologists. one key concept is measuring light and finding a suitable scale for doing so which is complicated by light...
