TechIMO unresponsiveness

Why is this site always unresponsive at times? There is nothing wrong with my connection or browser, none of that. It's just this site. It seems like maybe there's updating underway or I have a haxxer in my mists...

Always AND at times? Or one or the other

Would probably help Rob if you listed specific times that it happens to you...

This site is sometimes unresponsive for me, too.
The fact I have dial up does not help.

I've never had a problem until the big update. Since then, every now and then it stalls out on me also. Not sure why, but I was placing most of the blame on my ISP. But since others seem to have the problem also, that makes me think it's not my ISP..

me to but even if it is techmo I'm still going to blame my ISP, just to keep them on their toes,

I don't want them to get unresponsive, (slackers)

I think what keymaker means is that he's had intermittent issues since he started here. I've had intermittent issues with the site as well. Pages fail to load, or they load half way, but never finish. Firefox will say the page is done loading but i'll have the pretty little techimo layout with no posts. A refresh will almost always solve the issue.

I haven't been able to correlate the issues to a time of day or anything like that but if I figure anything out I'll let you know!

Nope, none of that. The site just won't load. I can ping the site, but even trying the IP address the site still won't load.

Believe me, it isn't due to Firefox, my ISP, computer, non of that. I've tried it in a plain vanilla Firefox portable, in VMware, and in a VPN hosted from Sweden.

Ran a smokepiping test and that doesn't show anything, but like I said, I could ping the site. Has to be a server not loading the site when I make a request at times.

Removed link. Will restart ping tests if someone clicks it.

BTW- I created this thread about 5 minutes after the site loaded. This was after it wasn't responsive. Figured this was the last time I'll deal with this. Decided to make a thread as to why this occurs. Like I said, it doesn't happen all the time, and when it does, it's this site only. Oh ya, I've tried different DNS servers too. Flushed DNS all that crap.

It's this site

ohh the last few days i have had a few issues with the server being down as well. To the point that it's even not responding to pings but I didn't think you meant that. My bad for putting words in your mouth keymaker.
