Really annoying "can't load page" forums
Hey guys,
since about a month or 2 I think, I get these annoying cannot load page things when I try to enter a forum section.
Refresh doesn't do squad, go back and try again, works, maybe the 2nd or 3rd time.
I have this on all my computers, sometimes the 1st time I try it'll work right away, and sometimes I have to click like 5 or 6 times before I actually get the page.
Is this an error in some script or something, it's not pc bound, that's obvious, not even browserbound, as I have it in IE and FF.2 x Opteron 4280 2.8Ghz, Asus KCMA-D8, 32GB DDR3 1600, Asus 6950 DCII 1GB 2 x M4 64GB SATA600, Caviar Black 640GB, Seagate 1TB, 27"syncmaster

Are you getting: Tech Support Forums - TechIMO.com - HTTP Error 404: File Not Found!
If so, you have to click Exactly on the Forum or Thread name/link. Prior to a recent forum upgrade, you could click on the whole box where the name/link is and it would open. I'm pretty sure Rob is aware of this and maybe someday it'll be fixed

Regardless...still very annoying. Can't you just hotfix it by removing the linking function of the box or something?

just click the name of the subforum and not around it and you should be fine.

Bump again.
Even thought I know how when and where to click, I still miss the target and back to hit the back button and try again. Please help us poor human beings.“Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending.”

Same here. While it is a minor annoyance, it is still an annoyance none the less.

Hey Rob - Scott
Haven't had any luck in the Suggestion Box forum so I'm going to try here

See the attached pic.....In the debate forum and the reselller forum(s) we can click anywhere in the "yellow" area and the link works fine.
But in ALL other forums we get-> "Tech Support Forums - TechIMO.com - HTTP Error 404: File Not Found!" if we don't click exactly on the IMO Community line.
If I'm not mistaken - this only happens to IE users. As hard as I try to remember to click on the exact correct spot - I often time miss.....
Can you PLEASE FIX THIS
Thanks in advance...

I know about the issue, and I am pretty sure Scott does, too.
It is a minor bug, thus way down the to do list. I will take a look at the related template format later today, though it might be something Scott will have to fix if it is a scripting issue.Robert Richmond | Infinite perceptions. One reality.

Think I found the underlying issue, though I do not have admin access to the particular configuration file. I have forwarded the information, including a potential quick fix, to Scott.

Open Eyes - Use Eyes - Read Thread with Pictures...Even my Kitty Kat can do that.
See pic in post #15....In the good old days - IE users could click anywhere in the "yellow" section to get into a section of the fourm. Now a days user must click on the exact IMO Community link...User often mis target and go to error page. User must then kick dog out of frustation.
