| Great Deal on a kick butt power supply!
I would like to see Techimo and reseller ratings share login data between the two sites. I guess make it one super site. Nothing worse than seeing threads in Techimo's most active discussions and realizing that you are to lazy and probably will never create an account.
Deals I wanted to post today but was to distracted to create a reseller ratings account (again): PC Power and Cooling S75QB Silencer 750W Quad Power Supply (Black) Retail at ZipZoomfly
Last week it was a 100 pack of verbatim -r dvds for like $15 bucks. |

That would indeed be awesome, but I'm sure there is probably something preventing this. That would be a HUGE merger I would think. |

TechIMO and ResellerRatings had a merged DB long ago but they were separated for SEO purposes. Google saw the sites as one, which was not a good thing for traffic. In hindsight, we should have just separated the forums while leaving the user database merged, but we didn't. |

Scott, just offering my opinion was all. I will probably never register for reseller ratings oddly enough as life is a seemingly endless stream of new forums to join. Reseller ratings has a great value if actually used correctly. I have found countless etailers to trust thanks to your/theirs tireless work in ensuring valid reviews. I hate the feeling of always lurking there and understand now the need for separation but ponder if your holding it back some by not making it a super site. I guess the value is in the click through?
I just cannot help but feel reseller ratings could steal some of amazons thunder with rr's staff watching the reviews as closely as they do. Is traffic down for rr's compared to a year ago? Less people registering and submitting reviews? |

Traffic is up, and more people are registering/submitting reviews this year over last. We also have 450 stores that actively participate in the site to monitor feedback and resolve complaints, compared to 75 a year ago. |

Wow! Awesome and glad to hear it. I have followed the reseller rating scene loosely since 2004 and appreciate the amount of work and volunteer effort that goes into maintaining something like that.
Personally speaking I tell EVERYONE I know to check reseller ratings BEFORE trusting etailers and the consensus is everyone is happy with the free service rr's provides. It is almost like stealing I suppose since you do not have to register and the real value is realized with people participating in their own unique reviews.
With that said I feel ashamed I have leached for so long. Time to start submitting my own reviews. Lord knows I shop online enough. |
