Memory hole: A new policy?
It seems that banned members and all their posts have disappeared from the forums and the member list. Is this a new policy? If so, it's a shame; a lot of their posts in non-controversy forums had good technical advice -- which is, after all, what most of us came here for in the first place. (I plead guilty to devoting too much of my time to Community forums, but I haven't had a lot of technical problems lately!)

Posts are only removed if we run the decimation routine, typical for ad spammers and the like. We can also manually remove posts, but typically don't without good reason. I can only think of one recent case where posts by a banned member were physically removed.
Not sure about the member list thing.
If you have a more specific question, feel free to PM me.
