| Errant operator or errant login tracking?
Seems that, for me, logging into TIMO will produce variable results: www.techimo.com;
top of screen: click the forums link;
top of screen: again, click login link, enter credentials, click login button;
Screen refreshes to show control panel;
top of screen: click news link;
click a news link;
click post reply;
not logged in (?);
click 'want to register': "Our records show that you have already registered at this board under the name of..."
I'm also not getting consistent results: somewhere in the past I was able to login to news, forums and to photo gallery (I have posted in each); but news is now not letting me in no matter how I try.
Opera 6.02/6.03 reporting as Opera, Win98SE, cookies enabled, filters not prohibiting anything at all.
Might a moderator or other knowledgeable people define the correct way to log in to each section, starting from www.techimo.com and then clicking 'forums' or 'gallery' or 'news' from the top of the screen?
Thanks, I hope.

All the TIMO features use the same login. May just be that the tweakers are working on that section of the site. SOmetimes parts of the site are different for a while, or even inoperable, but usually back on line quickly

dunbar, I noticed that cookies are disabled in your user control panel. I'd say that's likely the reason that you can't switch between the different areas and still stay logged in. I'm not sure about the News, but perhaps cookies are required? |

SOmetimes parts of the site are different for a while, or even inoperable, but usually back on line quickly | I think I gave the 'momentarily down' issue a fair chance to resolve itself.... one or two attempts in 4 months of trying have let me into news, something like 30 or so attempts have told me I needed to login, immediately after I click the login button.
BTW: Same login credentials, yes, but I do not 'get there' the same way for forums and for gallery... Gallery needs me to login only one certain way, and I can never simply walk from forums to gallery.
Why is that? |

Sorry I wasn't clear dunbar, I was refering to your TechIMO control panel. You have to turn this option on in order for the TechIMO cookie to work and remain current. See image below: |
