Why are people allowed multiple accounts?

OK, it took me about 3 seconds to lose interest in this silliness.

Hey, just like when I walked through the living room when my wife was watching joe millionaire or bachelorette!

I for one am relieved the mods have finally put an end to this silly charade of multiple usernames. I always thought it could be a bad example to others, even though it can be amusing.
