How 'bout this for a forum?
I have been thinking, after seeing another 'NTLDR' loader topic, that maybe it would be a handy thing to have some kind of Frequently Asked Questions or Common Problems and Answers forums.
Maybe you could set it as a collection of the most definitive thread of a particular problem that everyone has from time to time (like NTLDR), or just a synthesis of the important info generated from those threads, kinda like a Sam's page for computer problems.

basically you mean a sticky with the answers to most commonly asked questions?? the suggestion has been made a few times but ended up going no where
personally I think there should be a few stickies with some basic FAQ but even if you have them who's to say people will check those first
last time the suggestion was made it was over here in the oc forum
you can see it didn't go anywhere. I think it would be great if we could get this to work. A sticky or two in each forum with some basic info and some links to help out. It was brought up before that stickies might in some way undermind the idea of the forum and the website but i really don't think this would be the case.
As long as they were well thought out and well done I think it would be an asset more than anything. Some of the examples for the forums--
webmastering could use something like a link sticky that can be updated/changed for free or low cost hosting ideas and site temlpates
general tech can use an amd vs intel sticky so we don't have a million and one of those
motherboards could really use a sticky for links to all the mobo sites wich I think I have and can post if you'd like

Yah. Good ideas.
I just think it would be good. I know personally, if I have a problem, I'll Google it first, and if the results are confusing, vague etc... I'll usually post here, because it really is a community.
But if it's a problem that has been addressed before (and I don't pre-search a topic- think community...) it will take a few post before someone will point that out.
It'd be easier if we could drop to a particular and think, "Hey, it's right there...!"New Dad since 07/06/2005

well here was my thought for a sticky in the mobo forum I'll have to work on it later cause i'm off to bed but some ideas to throw at evreyone anways...and maybe the mods will give me approval before i go to the work on the idea. PM me with anything related to this thread please
I'll do an a-z list of all the mobo manufactures websites {almost have that now} any sites like motherboards.org will be added as they have alot of manuals that aren't easily found maybe some others if anyone has ideas just mobo manuals or links tho
links to via and sis for chippset d/l's
then a brief but clear explaination on flashing the bios for each chip award ami ect. not all in the same post but in seperate ones for each. but all in the same sticky
I'll just need a title and maybe someone to do the bios flash instructions as I'm not the best at explaining it even tho its easy and on the websites for the mobo's but I still think it should be in the sticky.
edit:ughh typos...ahh well i've been up since 12pm yesterday and on only a few hours of sleep so off to bed

Production IG is doing a new Ghost in the Shell series starting in June. It's a four episode OVA of the origin story of Section 9, and it's got all new voice actors. It's going to be strange hearing...
