okay this has been a gripe of mine for a bit of time. people bringing up dead threads from a year to two years ago
i understand we have new members coming in and reading threads but is there any reason why they need to put there .02 into the thread that no one has read in a while?
(tired from a reel big fish concert and exams ) |

Sometimes it bothers me.. I just randomly read a thread today and was like "I remember something about this thread" and I looked at the date and was like "WTH" lol |

I don't think I've ever really read old posts just for fun.Sure makes ya feel stupid to reply to a really old thread from someone you haven't seen in a year with how ya been......DOH!
Look at the date is all I can say

I personally dont see a problem with it, nor do I care.
Never understood the whole forum manners/rank thing anywhow. Post count means dink to me, anyone can run it up.
If someone wants to comment on something that happened 2 years ago, who am I to tell them that they can't/shouldn't.
One of the things I do like about here is that there isnt too much post count elitisim going around. Other places are much worse.

I agree with GZ. Please let the old threads die. They don't need to bumped. If you want to read them go ahead, but please, don't bump them back to the top of the forum where they take up space.

I agree w/ GZ also. I had one of my posts bumped yesterday and all that was said was... "good question" That's a buncha garbage. I get an email saying someone has replied to my thread, so I go looking for an answer and that's all that's there. It's one of the main old post bumpers spoken of here. Kinda annoying. |
