Laptop for games

Ok a challenge for you , im trying to find a reasonable spec laptop , needs to be able to play World of warcraft at playable level and possibly a few other last gen games .

My budget is quite low dont want to go above £700 (uk) , would prefer to be around the £600 mark . If theres something special not much over 700 ill try and streatch .

Anyone find me anything? Ive searched but so far not found much .

Ive been using the following as a guide for graphics processers
http://www.notebookcheck.net/Mobile-...ist.844.0.html

Any help is much appreciated .

This is what I am looking at, it only has the 8400m gfx, but that should be enough to play wow. The upside is that it is 13.3" and has good battery life, so you can play anywhere. I have had sony's before and they have done me well, I am hoping on ebay because they can be expensive otherwise.

Here's a few options:

Toshiba Satellite Pro - 539.94 inc VAT, has the ATI 2600 HD gpu

Acer - 579.98 inc VAT, has the ATI X2500 and a fast processor.

The toshiba you mention is looking the best ive seen so far . Anyone else throw something into the mix?

I assume im right in saying that the 1.66ghz processer is plenty adequate for most game? The most important thing being a decent GPU? I like the fact the toshiba has a HD-DVD drive as well , even though ive got no HD-dvds it kind of helps future proof it a little.

Yeah, the cpu is just fine for most games. My HP laptop has the T5600 cpu and a slower gpu (7600 Go) and I can play CS:S just fine. That ATI 2600 HD has more horsepower than my 7600 so you should be good to go.

All things considered, hd is useless. They canceled it, bestbuy is giving rebates to people who bought hd.
Regardless though, the toshiba does sound good, I typically like mine smaller as I move around a lot, but a toshiba has never given me trouble.
