Lindows coughs up info to Microsoft

I sent in a news article but obviously it wasn't posted.

Anyways, I would just like to draw attention to the fact that Lindows was "compelled" to hand over personal information to Microsoft. This information included emails, posts to the Lindows forums, and personal information including addresses, phone numbers, etc.

If this was posted already, sorry.

yeah saw tht on Tech TV the other day.. glad I didn't sign up.. =) but that is still wrong what they did without a fight.. I didn't read on their site.. but doesn't most say they wont give away your information.. I mean MS has no rights to the information about potential useres of Lindows

I don't appreciate how MSFT has dealt with this issue. Currently, such a company as Lindows can provide little to no interference with MSFT and it's Windows OS, 90% of the world use this OS, Lindows is not going to change that anytime soon.
So why take such bold steps to defuse this company, and force them to release information?
They just want to eliminate as much "worthy" competition as possible. (and many other reasons, I'm sure)
