Is PGP encryption going bye-bye?

For the paranoid among us (and we know who you are, NYAHAHAAA!), this troubling bit of news: apparently the owners of Pretty Good Privacy, the open-key encryption system developed by Phil Zimmerman, are trying to unload it but can't find a buyer.

That doesn't mean you can't still use the free version, it just means that the commercial version hasn't been the greatest thing since sliced bread.

I can't say there's anything I do that really makes me feel any need to encrypt anything, other than SSL for credit card transactions.

Anyone want to read my mail? ZZZzzzzzzzzzzz.......you'll be bored to tears.

Hmmm.... I wonder why it went downhill? Could it be...hmmmm....McAfee!?! lol

I knew this was coming once they got hold of it. As long as the freeware version is still available, that will be good. McAfee kills another good app.
