Thanks for the new link.
I think you missed one. He should be locked up in an institition of the morally bereft.
What a lack of conscience! Selling craked passwords and credit cards details. What does he think others do with them? Turn them in to the police? Give them back? "Gray" hat? No. Definitely all "black" IMO!
Maybe he should be given a chance though - maybe he is so caught up in himself he doesn't realise what damage he is doing. I know people like that. Give them a wake-up call and they DO wake-up! | |

I think he's a little punk personally and here's why
1) How can you vote thank him for security? He does not contact the comprimised systems, and instead installs himself a new backdoor.
2) He is what I like to call an oportunist criminal. He won't go out looking to break into a car, but if he hapens to see a door unlocked he sure as heck won't hesitate one millisecond before he rips off your stereo.
3) Throughuot the article, IMO, it becomes more about how great he is, what he can do with stolen his information, and how easy he can get it. This makes me not like him one bit
About the only decent thing he does is not trash the systems he comprimises.

I thought it was funny how he acted like some guru but he basically is an opportunist who looks for completely unsecured systems. Hardly takes much in the way of skill to connect to an open file share or an unecrypted 802.11 network. |
