| New ICQ 2002a
This may have been posted before
Just downloaded new icq, so far nothing bad
But they did bring back the unique sounds PER USER. http://www.icq.com/products/whatsnew.html
loads faster too I think, used to take 6 months to finally load up.
other minor differences, but not too much |

I hadn't seen anything about it before. I'll give it a try on the test system.
Eh ? Smaller ?

never mind I figured it out.
Now in ICQ if you hit the close button it will minimize it to the system tray, and to close it you have to manually close it like MSN or yahoo. |

certainly not a required upgrade unless you want the per user sounds or if youre coming from icq 2000
other than that, and a smaller install size.. not much different... didn't check the memory footprint before and after though... it does do a database update as well, not sure what that was about lol
overall, I'd say its not a required upgrade if you don't care of those features.
or if you want the "prettier" smileys lol |

I never upgraded from 2000 because of the newer version requiring more of my memory, so vass is this worthwhile for me? |
