Thanks. Looks like I initially copy-and-pasted the graphic URL. Link updated. |

Thanks guys.
So now my question, is it worth it? I mean, if there is a big difference in OC ability, then I'll try it. But if it's only for a minor difference, then I don't see the point..
Hmmm... Maybe I'll try to find someone who has done this first.. |

Expect maybe a 10% better overclock on average if you are willing to push the voltages and have decent cooling. Really, if you are satisfied with your current overclock and hardware 3D performance, then leave it alone.
10% could sometimes be a big deal back in the day for something like a TNT-2 Ultra or Voodoo 3. It is not so much a big deal for a modern graphics accelerator like the GeForce 9600 GT. |

yeah, that's what I was thinking really. I mean, I can OC my card now, but only do so for benchs. When I play games, it's back on stock. Not really because of heat, but mainly because it performs very well on stock settings..
Well, maybe if I get bored, I do it. But for now, I'm good.
But thanks for passing along the info! Last time I checked, people were still testing their ideas of volt mods. |
