| MSN Chat Control buffer overflow allows remote code http://securityresponse.symantec.com...tent/1943.html
FYI Quote:
The Microsoft MSN Chat Control input paramenter handling functionality contains an unchecked buffer that can allow remote code execution.
The MSN Chat Control is an ActiveX control that adds real-time chat functionality to Microsoft's Messenger applications
|
This only effects you if you've installed the MSN Chat Control, this is not the default MSN Messenger alone
If I remember right, people have developed software that explicitly looks for unchecked buffers since this is such a huge problem EVERYWHERE you go... why don't people use it?? |
