M$ is doing fine with Gates no longer part of DTD operations, I'm sure Apple will do just fine.
    Good job, friend-of-friends!

    Till the end of June!??
That's not good at all. That's a long time. (Cancer?)
IMO, Jobs is more important to Apple then Gates is/was to MS.

Overall yeah, they'll probably still do fine w/o him and the helm of things. He most likely hasn't be doing any DTD stuff anyways. But taking a 10-15% hit (or likely more) to their stock is bad news no matter how you look at. Apple's position has always relied heavily on Jobs being there.

I hate to say that they built the brand around him but its really the truth. Should something tragic happen, stocks will TANK, hard. It will take a couple of years for them to recover because he is the face, name, and spirit of apple and without them i dont think investors have the faith in a logo as people do with Microsoft.
