The more you build, the more chance you have at chance cards. 
That said, check out a couple of my streets, there is a reason there are so many small houses.  | |

You don't buy the whole thing at once, you have to buy it piece by piece. Best thing to do is click on an area, hit the search for properties, drag the map around and then look for the real expensive ones. When you find one, click it and take a look at how long it is.

Yes, but I'm finding that a lot of them are showing in pink (as available to buy) only to find out that they've got properties on them already, are owned by someone and are part of an offer....
Frustrating that they couldn't think to use a third colour to show roads/streets that are "under offer" instead of letting others get interested in the unavailable places........... | |
