Dammit... Just bought a road that I didn't intend to buy...
Sold it back (to the bank) again, but I had to take the hit for 50% of the price...just as well it was only a relatively cheap one....
I was looking around for a road to buy, clicking on them to see how much/long they were and accidentally clicked "Buy" and it was mine... Why can't they make it so that you have to click twice (within a few seconds) like they do when you want to sell.....??
Built a bunch of properties, no chance cards with any of them, bought (and sold) that road but didn't get any cards from that either...

it's an annoying process finding long roads. All the local ones that are good prospects aren't for sale. I bought one that I know is long (I live in the area in which I'm building) and it turned out to be shorter than expected. |

Yeah, I've been finding a lot of long roads that you can't buy on there... Bit of a PITA, but then again, I'm sure that those would've been bought up to start with anyway....
One thing that is bugging me now though, is that there are roads that have been marked as being available to buy (in "purple") that are actually owned by someone, but it is part of an offer on another road....
(I think I've also worked out how the cheaters were able to cheat...but I can't be ar$ed to do it myself...) |

there's someone listed as local that bought interstate 390 even though it won't load atm for me to see how long it actually is. Seems with 2 buildings it's listed at 19M |

I've seen it say that if the road/street isn't listed, then you can use the mouse to select it... Problem is, that doesn't seem to work for me - in either IE(8) or FF.... |

Just got my first chance card since the new version was released...!
Build a school on my current "main" road, sold a couple of other roads to keep me below the tax threshold and also allow me to buy a stonking great road - by the game's standards...
I kinda get the impression you get a chance card when you buy a street and then build the first property on it - or at least that has been my experience so far with the game......... |

hmm, I'll have to test that tomorrow when I get a new street. If that's the case I'll probably end up buying a street, putting a green house on it and selling it to the bank pretty often. |
