    NICE!!!

half of what he said was over my head, but I know it equals major performance increases, especially if CPU/Chip die sizes don't get any smaller than current chips on market.

If intel's releasing 32nm and expecting some major boosts in CPU processing as a result.

wonder what that means for what Nvidia's cooking up with the GT300 GPU's?

maybe their claims are true, totally revolutionizing the GPU scene again?

anyways, any dates so far on the 32nm chips? besides i9, as in Dual or Quad cores the average PC tech junkie can afford LOL

    From Ars Technica:

So how does this effect the current product line? What are the next generation of products and their model numbers?

(spring time comes round... decisions, decisions, build a new i5 quad based PC for 2nd PC.... or spend on an i9, move the i7 to 2nd pc....? Hmmmm.... not really that tough a decision, but still had to ponder it LOL)

I think the most exciting aspect of the i9 are the implications for these new chips to hijack the graphics duties away from a separate, expensive and power hungry video card.

This very well may be the savior of pc gaming? (Note: Make sure nVidia and Ati are not in my portfolio)

Because there is no app that would detect them properly most likely. You can see by the 32nm core size.

Same reason its probably showing 6+ghz ... software doesnt know how to properly read and translate all aspects of the processor.

No no.. that's in the hands of a world famous overclocker sponsered by EVGA. That 6Ghz+ number is actually real. Stock settings I believe is 2.6Ghz. (give or take a little, don't quite remember)

Not to mention the core and thread count

Supposedly January is when they'll be here, if you got the doh, stick with an older i7 920 because the socket will stay the same, and true 16x16 pci express vid cards, rather then sharing it as is the case with the current i5 socket 1156 boards. Oh, and more bandwidth with tripple channel ram.
