Intel and AMD bury the hatchet under $1.25 billion in cash

From Ars Technica:

AMD and Intel have agreed to settle all legal and patent disputes between them. Intel will pay AMD $1.25 billion and agrees to change certain unspecified business practices.

Can you say, "back in the saddle?" ... This is going to be the infusion of cash that AMD needs to really get things back on track. I was worried it was getting grim enough that they may need to sell of part of its business ... ohh wait i think they did that already ...

yeah...but the lawyers got rich, thats the most important thing. Glad they decided to play nice.

Wasn't AMD being eyed up by some UAE Billionaires or something for a while?

what ever came of that?

I know they had to sell off some division that wasnt entirely profitable or had the potential short term to turn a profit... I just dont remember much beyond that.
