FCC Considers Cable STB 'Standards' Evaluation
The FCC is pondering if the time for open standards among cable set-top boxes has finally arrived. I suppose being a couple of decades late is better than never.
The cable companies no doubt will argue that the market is working fine and that new rules will stifle innovation and keep them from earning enough money to keep investing in their networks.
