Google Donates $2M to Wikimedia Foundation
Google's move to help monetarily support the Wikimedia Foundation - the organization behind Wikipedia - is interesting considering Google's efforts to develop Knol, its own community-based reference resource.
"Wikipedia is one of the greatest triumphs of the internet," offered Google co-founder Sergey Brin. "This vast repository of community-generated content is an invaluable resource to anyone who is online."
