Nvidia Dual GPU GTX 590 In Sight... Not long now.

Nvidia is supposedly releasing a dual-GPU card next month to rival AMD's similar offering.

Last week brought reports that Nvidia confirmed the name of its upcoming dual-GPU card slated for a February launch.

Called the GeForce GTX 590, the card is expected to arrive in the same time frame as AMD's similar offering, the dual-GPU Radeon HD 6990 "Antilles"also set for a supposed February release. Nvidia is also expected to launch the new card in the same manner as it did with the GeForce GTX 580: surprisingly sudden, catching AMD off-guard.
Nvidia Intros Dual-GPU Card Next Month?

If Only I had the cash for that, the Folding@Home PPD rating that thing would be capable of...?

I can just imagine a 7 PCIe Slot Mobo, with each of them filled with a single slot water block for each... though the power consumption and demands would be Enormous, but the PPD rating would be through the roof for a single system.

Should be interesting to see how this thing performs in regards to gaming though.

As it is, the current GTX 580 Single GPU card comes with in inches of beating the Dual GPU Radeon 5970, I can only imagine this cards performance with 2 of those on there.

But should be interesting to see the AMD competing card as well, the 6990.

More than both of us combined could afford I'm guessing.

But no, haven't seen anything on pricing, but considering the cost of the Radeon 5970 when it came out of nearly $600-700 I would imagine the 6990 would be similar, and GTX 590 somewhere in that range as well, give or take a little.

Rumor is starting at ~$599, but I'd be willing to bet even more then that. (My official guess would be $699)

I got a kidney and a lung on the market right now. Other then that, milking myself for plasma and blood as much as possible. Now if only I could gather the strength to go buy a new GPU...

LOL, after all that, I too would barely have enough strength to use my index finger to click and submit and order for one as well.
