    ISPs compensated for Alureon/DNS Changer so that customers across the U.S. wouldn't have a problem even if they somehow managed to go infected and unaware. Then the FBI blamed ISPs since the dcwg.org check wouldn't actually detect anything since the ISPs did compensate for DNS Changer.

    Know what I think? The FBI needs to get on the ball with tech issues already!

    The tier 1 and tier 2 providers that saved us last time get a hat off from me. The news (pouring fuel on this thing) and the FBI need to do more research on these things before making me a believer.

    Unprotected corporate machines that haven't been checked for viruses since the stone age may need to worry but individual users should take the news with a grain of salt and practice safe computing regularly.
