| Attbi to Comcast now
[rant mode on]this really sucks major, ATTBI was just recently changed in the last year. They bought out @home. We all had to go through those blasted changes and now AGAIN!!!!
Comcast has taken over ATTBI now and just got email today saying our email domain is gonna change YET AGAIN!!!
Not only that just 3 months ago AT&T Broadband just recently merged the cable tv bill iwth the cable internet bill. So I suppose they are gonna have to UNMERGE them now? Cripes. Talk about major un-organization
[/rant mode off]
[start being sarcastic]oh yes they are gonna give us 60days to do this. [/end being sarcastic]
quote from email. Quote:
E-Mail Changes
As part of this transition, AT&T Broadband Internet e-mail will change. The domain name for all e-mail addresses will change from [your username]@attbi.com to [yourusername]@comcast.net. The vast majority of all current AT&T Broadband Internet customers will be able to keep their e-mail usernames. If your username must change, we will contact you so that you may choose a new one.
To offer you flexibility during the transition, you will be able to access both your AT&T Broadband Internet e-mail address and new Comcast e-mail address for at least 60 days together. It is important to note that we do not anticipate any interruption of service during the transition.
| Flexibilty my arse!!! I have had nothing but slow connections for the past 2 months!!!! Before my connections were great. |

Here in IN, comcast has taken over the cable internet as well as the cable television, so you probably have it the same there...at least you won't have to unmerge those bills
I have not yet received any notice (yet) about the email change, but I'm sure its coming. I just hope the the service doesn't change...I really liked ATTBI |

Ya all might be right, not sure on the cable tv but if they done that elsewhere chances are they are doing that there. Just really tired of these changes. I think my speeds have gone downhill since they took over. cuz I got a tad bit better speeds and more reliable email with ATTBI than I ever did with @home.
:sigh: Makes you wonder why AT&T are giving up a revenue like this either that its a shared thingy. dunno. |

ATTBI wasn't making a profit if I remember right. You have to remember being an ISP is a LOT of money. Hardware is extremely expensive for that stuff, So they sold it off.

I drive by a Comcast station everyday. It was funny up until about a month ago, you would see all these vans with AT&T on the side and yellow ladders on the roof driving out of the parking lot in groups of two. Now you see the same vans with the same ladders but with comcast on the side. IMO comcast has a better logo. |
