Napster for the most part is dead. The music industry made them an example to other file-sharing apps. Of course that won't stop people from trading music..

Napster was the best. Nothing can compare to what it was. Morpheus is slow, a memory hog and spyware carrier. Kazaa is even worse (sister program) Bearshare is impssible to download anything.
Napster with chat was ultimate. Me and guys used to swap entire HD's of music. You could find anything fast and the download was SUPER fast (most of the time)
Nothing has become as easier and as efective as napster was.

Almost everything is based off of Napster, even though I like Napster it's pretty much time to move on. Right now I am using iMesh, can't really worry about servers because i'm on 56K so I am gonna download stuff slowly anyway.
