Tech-Support Seekers Turn To the Web

Maybe someone should point her in the right direction!! Well I find that when posting a question the the board the question is normally answered a lot faster AND more importantly the question I asked is answered. A lot of times when you e-mail a company and ask a question they answer a question by asking a question in return and then they avoid the topic or talk about something that has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with the question you had in the first place.
WOW I just confused myself.

Seems more people are turning to online support for their personal computers

Is this because more people are building thier own PCs?
I did because of the cost factor, more bang for the buck! Plus using old parts and upgading later.

Couldn't afford it in the first place

I think a lot of people are like us, too. They would rather give it a shot themselfs before asking someone to take them by the hand and lead them step by step thru the troubleshooting process. That just takes the fun out of it.

When you manufactures for help these days, the first words out of their mouth is which credit card will you be using today. Manufactures are charging for services they used to give away in the past.
