harddrive problem

well, in safe mode after I click my username to log on it doesn do anything else. just gives me a black screen with a mouse pointer that says safe mode in every corner

thats wierd... it should have worked, and from their you should have been able to delete it no problem.....

I can't get windows setup to boot off of the cd... right now it's booting off of some temporary files on my hard drive. I think if I can get it to boot from the CD I should be able to format, but I can't get it to boot. Is there any key I should be hitting or something?

Yup. While the pc is booting there should be a message at the bottom of the screen telling you to push any key to boot from CD.

Okay, I booted from the disc... deleted the partition, and am formatting the partitioned space. I think it's working... I'll keep you all updated
