The reason it won't initialize is most likely that you are using the wrong audio drivers.

If ME is detecting the chipset as SB16 it is making an error. The 5600i soundchips are listed as:

• Yamaha XG 128 Voice Wavetable Sound

• Aureal A3D TM Interactive 360 Positional Sound

• Dolby® Digital Surround Sound (AC-3)

• JBL 3D VirtualTheater TM (VMAx)

• FM Synthesis

I think this may be the driver you need (no guarantees)
