Question
PSU Questions

i have a power supply right now that came with my old case, it is a 550 watt, i believe it is a no name brand though. if i am having issues with my computer, could the PSU be the culprit? i get fans to spin, but no post, no video.

I DO NOT WANT YOU TO WASTE YOUR TIME TO TRY TO HELP ME FIX THE COMPUTER, I SIMPLY WANT TO KNOW IF THE FANS WOULD STILL SPIN IF THE PSU WAS HAVING PROBLEMS.

sorry for the caps, but i had a similar post a while back and the question i wanted to get answered was overlooked and the computer not turning on problem was addressed instead. i just want a simple yes, or no answer please.

thank you for your time,
carl

I think if the cpu was really gone that the comp would just be dead altogetehr..no fans no nuttin.

Possibly the supply has lost one of the voltages so it is turning on the board but not all the way....not the video etc.

Else maybe the vid card is bad?

Do you hear the hard drive spin up?
