Unhappy
no booty..

Hi 1st time post here. (go easy on me plz )

Built a new machine...

- P4 2.8E
-Abit Max3 MoBo
-Enermax 550w PS
-ATI 9800XT
-2gigs DDR 400

Anyway the problem is pretty consistent, when I do a FULL shutdown...
Almost every time, not when I restart but when I shut it down it doesn't reboot completely.
All the fans spin lights etc. but that's all.

I have found if I restart the PC from the on/off switch on the PS then turn on the PC..... it works.

All parts listed above are new cept for the RAM.
Please any help is much appreciated.

Thanks.

Welcome to TechIMO!!

I would have to agree w/ Headband, reset the power connection and see if that changes the issue.....

also, I would be very sad if I got no Booty either

sorry, couldn't resist

Was a BIOS update I needed to do.
