| monitor goes black after power on
hello guys,
i just purchased this pc of motherboard Asus P4V533-MX-UAYZ last end of year and recently when i switch on the pc, the cpu lights are on but not the monitor. the monitor is black and when i tried the 'menu' that adjust the performance display of the monitor, the menu appears, the screen just do not display the normal Window.
someone knows how i can fix this?
as a result, i press the reset button each time this happens which is not good for my pc in long term. after i reset, only the monitor starts running the normal screen for me.
thanks. |

You said that you restart it? And does it work then?
Try reseating your video card. (take it out, turn on computer, turn it off and put video card back in). But thats if you cannot get it to work. Are you having heating issues?

hello,
i mean i reset the pc and it works after i reset it once. i tried press the switch on button again but it won't work so i press the 'reset' button and it works. so it mean restart the pc again. .
about monitor heating issue, i have a table fan just about 10 inch away from the monitor and the room temperature is about 26 degree celcius.
i never tried video card reseating, does this procedure mean the video card is loosening or not properly seated inside the cpu?
thanks for replying |

Well reseating your video card would have been a possible solution if it would not work at all...
With what your saying is that the 1st time you turn it on, it will not display any video, then you press the restart button and it will be fine.
I have never seen that before so its hard to say what might be wrong...
How long has this been happening? Ever since you got the motherboard? |

| I Seem To Be Getting The Same Problem
I have a PC which I got last year. However this few weeks the monitor has started acting up.
Every time I switch the PC on, the PC starts, but the monitor remains black. Like "pineapple" here,
I have to reset the PC to have the monitor work. I think the graphic card is a NVIDIA Geforce 9500 GT. |
