| HP PSC 750 makes win2k reboot
I'm just checking to see if anyone here is having the all to common errors using the HP all in one printer such as the PSC 750 I have. There is article after article of problems with this printer and no one has a fix that I have found. The scanner freezes on warm up when trying to scan and now it has started the second issue know with this printer of rebooting your computer every-time it is powered on or off or even just making a copy on the printer itself. HP has had 3 bug fixes that have been install on mine and many other peoples systems that doesn't take care of the issue. I have a clean install of win2kpro with sp4 and all updates installed and tried the newest driver from HP which turned out to be worst then the previous ver causing reboot after reboot. I un-installed it and did a complete reg cleaner to get rid of the trash left in the reg. All drivers were completely removed from the system then after a reboot for good measure I installed the drivers/software off the cd that came with it. I printed 2 pages and though I'd try the scanner but killed it dead in the water again and had to power it down which in turn rebooted my computer . HP has not replied to the issue and every time it is posted on there help board it disappears with in a week or so, as I have been trying to follow to see if there would be an answer and now page says "page can not be displayed no proper permission". So with that said has anyone that has had these problem found a fix for it? BTW this does effect other HP all in one printers so if we find a fix for one maybe it will wor on others. |
