about:blank

I still have problem with about:blank. Even if I change my Internet explorer opening page, about:blank comes back and replace my original page.

I have seen on many sites that give information regarding this, however they mention to go in the registry, in system32, use Ad Aware Spybot etc. I would prefer to use a Fix.

Is anyone aware if such a fix exists, if yes please let me know.

I use windows XP

Thanks
Germain

Are you talking about the homepage that gets changed to about:blank?
If so, Spybot has a feature that can protect your homepage from changing.

Germain - are you asking on how to avoid that issue at all?
Unfortunatly Internet Explorer is horribly susceptible to homepage hijacking. As noted above spybot and adaware can run in the background to make sure it doesn't happen.

IMO the best way to avoid this is to avoid internet explorer, but thats up to you.
Opera or even mozilla.
