download spybot search and destroy and should get rid of the commander bar and super bar.
you should be able to right click on the search bar and disable it |

Yahoo bar you can remove then by going to Add/Remove Program located at Control Panel i dont know about the others.
Just a suggestion on other bar try to right click them if theres an option on exit |

Try Opera as an internet browser...compatible with windows and linux, not sure about mac, but I think they do have a version for macs.
it has a pop-up stopper...I haven't seen a popup in over 2 years, since I started using Opera. it has mouse gestures that simplify and speed up internet browsing, and is a fresh, clean interface. the lean browser (non-java) is a 4.2mb download, about 20 mins on a 31.6k modem.
I know that "ignoring the problem doesn't fix it" but I've found that Opera is a more advanced Netscape, and I happen to like it more than Mozilla or Konquorer. you could also try reinstalling IE...but if you use an isp that synchs up with your IE settings, the bar may keep popping up.
imo, I'd install Opera and remove all problems. Version 7.50 is the latest, and quite fast on dial-up.

yes opera is free. they have an ad-free version, but that's $39USD.
I just select the "generic ads" setting when it asks after install, and you're good to go!
it's very fast, and the privacy settings can't be beat!
