Does anyone know of a program that can stop crashes and freezes?

i would try scanning for spyware using spybot or adaware. This may help. You may also want a ram optimzer.

can you tell us what your doing when it crashs and freezing

maybe get ad-aware and spybot to clean up the spyware

or more ram......

Sometimes it just freezes when I open a browser or just by saving a file .... just anything simple. I don't have lots of programs open or anything.
I have spybot and ad aware, zone alarm and AVG virus program. I've checked for viruses and spyware and it shows nothing. I can't imagine why it is freezing, not all the time but enough to make me curious

how much ram do you have? do you have an optimizer? i sent you the link (bottom one). not really sure how effective these are, but i run one 24/7. May as well give it a try.

I have 448 MB of ram. I'm running the optimizer now and thank you so much

Any of you guys know Ontrack Fix it utilities and if so, have you tried it and what do you think of it if you did? I heard one time in the past it was a pretty good program with many options
