can't detec real memory size,please help

can't detec real memory size,please help

i replace battery of my amd ecs motherboard cause cmos battery was low in power
after i did it i remove jumper to clear cmos and put it back on default mode,
everything boot up fine, but when i try to install xp pro is telling me that pc don't have enough memory that it need more than 64 base memory but i have install in pc 2 - 256 133 sdram wich is 512 ,my cpu is amd 1600 ,anyone knows how to set up to
right size of memory,really apreciatte your help

Your memory may not be detected properly for some reason. The first step is to go into the BIOS and see if it is detecting all of the memory you have installed.

i was triying to do that but i can't see the memory in bios where do i see t?

clear the cmos again, then setup the bios settings the way you like them.
